The story of the life of the King comes from visionary director Baz Luhrmann (Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge, Australia, The Great Gatsby) brought to the screen with his trademark dazzling energy and style and stars Austin Butler as Elvis Presley (who won Best Actor at the Hollywood Critics Midseason Awards for his efforts) with the ever-brilliant Tom Hanks as Elvis’ manager Colonel Tom Parker, Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley and Richard Roxburgh as Vernon Presley. Other familiar characters in the cast include Little Richard, producer Sam Phillips, and singers Mahalia Jackson and Big Mama Thornton. The film went on to become the second highest grossing music biopic of all-time after Bohemian Rhapsody and Elvis’ daughter Lisa-Marie Presley has called it ‘nothing short of spectacular’. Come and join us if you can for a rocking evening of fun and be prepared to end up All Shook Up!. Admission is £5 on the evening, £4 for Members, £10 for a Family of Four.
